Billie May Rowe, 72, of Waynesboro, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Augusta Health, Fishersville.

She was born July 3, 1939 in Craigsville, a daughter of the late Billy and Gladys Rowe Fields.

She was a caring, sharing person, helping all if deference to herself. Billie's favorite passtimes were fishing and spending time in the woods communing with nature.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Portland C. Rowe, Jr.

Survivng are her children and their spouses, Wanda and Jon Markanich of Bristow and Howard and Mary Rowe of Waynesboro; a sister, Linda Tinker of Stuarts Draft; a brother, John "Mac" Fields of Staunton; and her granddaughter, Jordan Markanich.

A service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2012, at Shenandoah Baptist Church, Verona. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at McDow Funeral Home.
