Lawrence Jubin Lane, 85, of Waynesboro, VA, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.

He was born on 02/19/1927 in Morganton, NC, son of Lawrence and Virginia Jubin Lane.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Lane was an electrical engineer for General Electric, receiving multiple patents. He was a fellow member of IEEE and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, his brother Ross Lane and wife Bonnie Lane, his children Priscilla Lane and Richard Lane, Richard's wife, Kristin, grandchildren, Valerie Brown, Erica Lane, Ashley Lane, and great-grandchildren, Eli and Isabella.

Viewing for family and friends will be at McDow funeral home in Waynesboro, VA from 2 pm-4pm on Saturday, May 19, 2012 followed by the funeral at 4:00pm. Burial will be at 10 am Monday, May 21, 2012 at Augusta Memorial Park.
