Sandra Elizabeth Toy, 69, of Waynesboro, died Friday evening, June 29, 2012 at her residence.

She was born July 20, 1942 in Philadelphia, a daughter of Emily Robertson Toy of Delaware and the late James Toy.

She was a graduate of the Philadelphia School for the Deaf.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Arey, Jr. and her daughter, Starangela Sue Patrick.

Surviving are sons Wesley Arey of Staunton and Wayne Arey and wife Robin of Waynesboro; sister Frances McComb of Delaware; brother James Toy of Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Wesley Arey, Jr., Lesha, Dakota, Sa-Jon, River, and Willow Arey, Savannah Patrick, and Michaela Welcher; and great-granddaughter Madeline Thomas.

A service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 6, 2012 at McDow Funeral Home by Pastor John Wyble. Interment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Sa-Jon, River, Wesley Arey Jr., Jeremy Balin and Miguel Cruz.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
